On August 8, 2013, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO)
released a public consultation paper about modernizing the disciplinary
hearing process for insurance agents and adjusters under Ontario’s
Insurance Act.
The paper entitled Modernizing Disciplinary
Hearings for Insurance Agents and Adjusters in Ontario: A Proposal for
Consultation [PDF Document] outlines how a new model could operate and
requests comments from stakeholders. The objectives of this new model
are to ensure that the disciplinary hearing process is streamlined and
efficient, and that it is in keeping with the modern concepts of
administrative fairness.
How to Submit Comments or Suggestions
You are invited to provide written comments or suggestions regarding this consultation paper on or before September 30, 2013.
There are two options for submitting your comments:
