On July 7, 2015, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) released its decision in Arruda v Western Assurance
(FSCO A13-003926, July 7, 2015), providing additional analysis of the
MIG. In this decision, Arbitrator Shapiro found that despite having
suffered soft-tissue injuries in the subject accident, Ms. Arruda’s
subsequent chronic pain diagnosis took her out of the Minor Injury Guideline.......
